In this videocast, Brother Larry challenges believers to move beyond simply agreeing with Jesus and begin living in close fellowship with Him—because nearness to Christ is where God guards, guides, and shields His people in spiritual warfare. Using passages like Hebrews 10:19–22, he explains what it means to “draw near” with a sincere heart: coming honestly before God, seeking cleansing from guilt, and choosing faith over excuses. He emphasizes that willingness is the first priority—being willing to surrender self, stop “playing on the edge,” and follow Christ wholeheartedly.
Brother Larry also offers a realistic encouragement: those who commit to drawing near will still fail at times, and Satan will intensify his attacks—but believers have a great High Priest and can return to the throne of grace for forgiveness and renewal. He warns against presuming on God’s grace, and closes with Isaiah 6 as a picture of what nearness produces: a higher view of God, a humbler view of self, and a life strengthened for faithful service—aiming to enter heaven unashamed, with joy and confidence before Christ.
